I don’t know about you, but all I can think about is warmer weather, laying out on the beach, soaking up some sun, and enjoying a good book. Jackson and I will be going to the beach for a short weekend trip in April with my sister and cousin and their husbands. I cannot wait for some family time in the warm weather. So, I wanted to share some must-have beach items of mine, especially with Spring Break coming up for so many people.
We have Mexican food 2-3 times a week in our house. It’s easy to cook, inexpensive, has a lot of variety, and for the most part you can make it somewhat healthy. One meal we have really enjoyed recently is fajitas.
We all have those things that we just can’t get enough of, our must-have items. I wanted to share some of my current must-haves with you. I just think they’re so great, you might need them in your life too! I’ve broken them down into a few categories below.
It is unbelievable to me that it is almost Valentine’s Day. 2019 is already flying by. I know Valentine’s Day is a weird holiday. Some people love it, some people hate it. I am one of those who love it, so I thought I would share why I love it and give some outfit and decor inspiration.
This is my first post in a while, and I am very excited to get back into a regular schedule on the blog. I found myself very busy in December and I have just felt uninspired lately. I honestly think this is partly due to being busy, not being in my normal schedule, and developing some unhealthy habits over the holidays. All of this combined has just put me in a funk. This is why my first post of 2019 is all about healthy habits I want to keep, start, and start again.
It can be very hard to stay healthy during the holidays. This season is filled with friends and family, great movies, yummy food and treats, and often the start of cooler temps. With all of that it can be so hard to stay on track with any fitness goals.
One of my favorite parts of Christmas (besides pretty much everything else) is the cozy, festive Christmas pajamas. I just can’t get enough. I want to be decked out in my pajamas and Christmas socks all December long! If you are at all like me, then you will love this post. I rounded up some of the best pieces to lounge in this Christmas season, in my opinion!
Shopping for Christmas decor is one of my all-time favorite things! Let’s be honest though, I love anything Christmas related. I like the idea of adding a few new pieces to my Christmas decor each year to spruce things up. However, when buying something to decorate my home with for one month out of the year, I don’t want to spend a lot of money.
We are only a little over a week away from Thanksgiving and I am just so excited! Thanksgiving, along with every other holiday, has always been so fun in my family. We have such a big family, and everyone is loud and crazy and so close! On Thanksgiving my parents, my sister, and I used to eat THREE meals. It was insane, but 100% worth it to see everyone.
As we enter the busy holiday and Christmas season, I want to talk about how important self-care is. I’ve always heard/known that if you want to take care of others you must first take care of yourself. Just like on an airplane, you can’t help other people with their oxygen mask if you can’t breath. Taking care of yourself, and the one and only body you will ever get, is so important.
